墨の香りで精神統一の時間を愉しむとともに、
文字のひとつひとつに込められた意味やいわれを知ることで、日本人の心を感じることができるでしょう。
体験いただく書道は、筆・墨・半紙を使って書き方の基本を学んだ後、
漢字・ひらがな・カタカナ等の好きな文字を書きます。
ご自分で書いた作品は、記念にお持ち帰りいただけます。

広島ゆかりの特産品「熊野筆」と平和公園に寄贈した折り鶴を再生した「大竹の和紙」を教材に用います。「熊野筆」は、おみやげとしても販売しています。
Calligraphy is well-known worldwide.
With the meditative scent of the ink and your mind absorbed in the task of learning each character's meaning, you'll be able to feel the Japanese psyche.
First, you’ll learn the basic skills of calligraphy using a brush, ink, and Japanese paper.
Then, you’ll write your favorite character such as Chinese kanji, hiragana, or katakana.
You can take your piece with you as a memento.
*The purpose of this course is to experience calligraphy, not strict instruction in calligraphy skills.
We use two local Hiroshima products, “Kumano brushes” and “Otake’s Japanese washi paper” made from recycled orizuru (origami paper crane)
donated to Peace Park for calligraphy. “Kumano brushes” are sold as souvenirs.
